God continues to open up huge opportunities for gospel ministry in Ukraine. Take a look at how we are engaging with the culture.

Evangelism

See how the gospel actively is moving through our various ministry highways.

Evangelism highways are places where teenagers naturally gather. Epokha has developed various programs for each of these highways so that we’re able to reach the youth in a way they resonate with.

music

Music Highway

Fusion Music & Arts Ministry

It is an undeniable fact that music has the power to bring people together, and music has always been an important part of youth culture. Fusion is a relational ministry that uses music as a tool. Through singing in a Fusion choir and potentially learning how to play an instrument, young people have the opportunity to become part of an accepting community, connect to the local church, and hear the Gospel.

camps

Summer Camps

Evangelistic Summer Camps

Since the very beginning of Epokha’s ministry in Ukraine, we have seen the power of organizing evangelistic summer camps in partnership with local churches. At these week-long camps, young people get to experience the love of Christ through the relationships they build and hear a bold and clear presentation of the Gospel. Through camps students get to learn and improve different kinds of skills in sport, music, foreighn languages and other creative areas. In partnership with local churches in the last 20+ years we have organised camps where hundreds of young people have decided to follow Christ and become disciple-makers in their local church.

European-Led Camps

The format of all European-led camps is very similar. Different workshops are offered in the morning (European clubs, music, sports, crafts, board games etc), followed by fun afternoon activities and an evening Bible program with discussion groups afterward. European short-term teams and interns assist with all of these activities. They have the opportunity to spend a few days for follow-up activities with the Ukrainian church and time to debrief. It is always a great blessing to see Ukrainian and European keaders and campers working together so well.

sports

Sports Ministry

Edge Sports

Any athlete will tell you that being ready to give your all on game day is crucial. It’s not easy – it takes guts, strength, and dedication to leave everything on the field. This idea applies to life too. Sadly, most young people in Ukraine don’t have Jesus or godly mentors to show them what a life well-lived looks like. That’s where Epokha’s Edge Sports ministry steps in. Edge is an intentional disciple-making ministry through church-based sports.

boys

Mentoring Boys

Wise Carpenter Boy's Ministry

“Wise Carpenter” is a Christian movement aimed at inspiring boys to be an active part of their families, their city, and their country.

We share biblical truths and principles with boys that shape their character and transform their perspective on every area of life. We talk about God’s way through biblical principles, stories, and parables, we help them see which path to choose.

Through our sessions, the boys begin building things at home and bringing back practical items that serve their families: a stool, a bird feeder, a shelf, an organizer, a key holder, and more. We teach them not to be passive in their families, but to take initiative and become a meaningful, helpful presence at home.

girls

Mentoring Girls

Girl's Ministry

There is a special blessing in ministering to girls. Each year we host a retreat for young women in ministry called “A Daughter’s Heart,” where we create space for them to rest, be refreshed, and spend that deeply needed personal time with the Father.

The highlight of this ministry is the girls’ conference “Beloved,” designed for teenage girls and their leaders. Each year, choosing a topic that truly speaks to what girls are facing, the team prepares a time of worship, fun, and teaching in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

It is always such a joy to see girls ministering to girls, because we truly need one another.

eastern ukraine

Partners in Eastern Ukrainian Initiatives

The East Ukraine initiatives began over four years ago out of a desire to provide humanitarian aid and organize evacuation buses for civilians. Since then, this ministry has grown into partnership and friendship with church leaders who continue to live and serve youth and teenagers close to the front lines.

Each season, we visit their cities, hold training sessions, encourage them, and organize retreats to give them rest and renewal. We believe that supporting and equipping these leaders right now is a critically important part of our mission in this season.
